Eris Concept Sketch

This was more or less originally sketched up on almost the last day of the year last year. (2014)

and I were talking about his favorite kinds of belly shapes and how he tended to prefer a "tight" belly, but his and my preferences for belly "shape" have been something we could only marginally agree on at times.
I told him that I actually preferred "tightness" expressed in other ways, such as stretch lines to indicate a belly with VERY tight skin (like the lines around the navel here), or even signs of bulging from within. This gave Nite an idea, and together we came up with an elf girl who would later be named "Eris".
Perhaps the thing most unique about Eris is the fact that her belly is so utterly tight that you can practically see the contents of her belly. This isn't something I had really seen before (but I LOVE X-ray stuff) so it was a fun thing to sketch up.


...It's almost kind of weird to think this sketch could well have been what started the "tight belly craze" that seems to have swept across the pregnancy community this year. (I'm not complaining, haha)
As far as I can recall, the first was a sketch Nite requested (or was it commissioned?), and it led into a sequence. And the girl in the series was the now-named elf that Nite and I came up with together, Eris.

So, yeah. That's an interesting thing.
